Instead, I sought out something smaller yet equally fascinating: dung beetles. Drawing from my knowledge of their behaviour, I understood their irrepressible attraction to elephant dung. With a simple objective in mind, I observed the elephants, patiently waiting until they left behind a sizable pile of fermented grass. It was then just a matter of time before the diligent dung beetles made their anticipated entrance, offering me the perfect opportunity for a captivating shot.
